as long as Pig Oil is whining about something like solar and wind, you KNOW it's something we need to go for - because they whine so they can keep their thumbscrews on our money due to Pig Oil monopoly.
Let's work to break Pig Oil's monopolic back.

Bussman: The Chinese reaction to President Obama is a very good sign that he is doing his job. What are you ranting about? The Bush/Cheney admin. was the laughing stock of the world. B/C could never manage a consensus amongst world leaders on anything!
I thought "sole" was fish! Come on awesome1, get real! The oil we drill is NOT renewing every day. It is the decayed remains of plants and animals subjected to eons of pressure and heat. The "good earth" is not making more oil as we speak.
Renewable energy is only dangerous for Khalid Al-Falih and his OPEC/Big Oil buds.

There is no secret about air and solar energy providing tiny amounts of energy at hugh expense. Just add up the megawatts produced. It's very simple.

Of course the oil rich countries do not want to see us use renewable energy resources because that means we will not be buying oil from them. Their economy are dependent on the United States, the largest oil users to survive.

OK, I'll bite...what do you really mean by, "The sole of the world is filled with oil that renews itself everday but the USA lets other countries take our share."?? Sounds like 'Weasel Words' to me on the surface.
How deep do we have to drill to the 'sole', maybe soul? or do you mean foot of the world?

I noticed that no BP exec was quoted. BP has a large stake in renewable energy, especially solar!

I would expect nothing else. Ridiculing renewables with phrases 'hydrocarbon deniers' indicates ignorance.

Well, actually, we consume more than our share, and it isn't being renewed.

if the oil company says solar and wind power is bad, then we need to make use of it. if they are talking about it, then it's starting to cut into their profit margin. build more.

That attitude is no surprise from the people who currently control the world's energy. Khalid doesn't want to go back to living in a tent in the desert with sand blowing up his shorts.

The sole of the world is filled with oil that renews itself everday but the USA lets other countries take our share. SO GET TO WORK! Gas prices should be lower than what we see when we can produce our own & they sell it to keep their wallets full but we are not being taken over by SPECULATORS and their prices.

Oil execs shooting down emerging renewable energy in order to protect their own interests. If we consumers really had a choice and didn't have to buy gas, would we buy expensive gas cars? The gas budget is currently an essential expense for many. And many of us are now looking for alternatives.

Alternative energy costs will drop in the future as technology improves and demand for it increases as opposed to what the oil industry is doing. Big oil already has the technology and has been in place for many years and what do they do . . . . "STICK IT TO THE CONSUMER".
We not only need "Alternative Energy"; BUT, we need new staffing as well. We need to keep the oil people and Wall Street people out of the alternative energy field of play; thus giving it a chance to improve our economics.
Enough . . . same old . . . . same old !!!!
