That is for sure PDQBlues. Neither PD nor the Flat Earth Society gang here care to read the real news like this article, yet they are drawn to it like moths to a flame!

If gas and coal companies would only impose tougher controls on their own operations, and if regulators would stiffen rules and crack down on violators.

China and India are both rapidly developing and deploying coal burning energy assets.

China is bringing 2 coal fired plants online a month right now. Nor is their government kissing the a$$ of Gaia worshipers for votes. All the while, de-industrializtion is full speed in the US, courtesy of "share the wealth within nations, among nations" President Hussein Obama.

In a January 30, 2005, Miami Herald editorial, former Greenpeace co-founder and president, Dr. Patrick Moore said he left his own organization because “much of the environmental movement, made a sharp turn to the political left and began adopting extreme agendas that abandoned science and logic in favor of emotion and sensationalism.” It’s only gotten worse. The once wholesome and worthwhile goal to protect the planet was hijacked and turned into a pseudo religion – by some who care more about transferring America’s wealth than they do the environment.

While coal my cause its share of pollution, (as witnessed by those who went to China for the olympics) the only thing causing warmth in our climate is the earth going through a warming phase. If you live long enough you will see it cool back down in its own way.

The article is wrong on both counts. Coal does not cause global warming or climate change. And there is no human made global warming or human made climate change.
When the climate of this planet changes, it is beyond the control of anyone (i.e the reason for the numerous separate ice ages and glaciers which have covered what is now North America.... well before human beings were on the scene.
